"Source Code", Selamatkan Jiwa dalam 8 Menit

Charismatic Jake Gyllenhaal came back in an action thriller movie called "Source Code".  He spread the charm in this movie... Thumb up for him! Anyway, his acting is always enchanting, and deserve good review.  But seriously, in this movie, he look so mature.  Compare to the last movie I saw, "Prince of Persia".

I think, he's one of the best actor in his generation!

Ok, let's continue... Jake Gyllenhaal definitely one of the "Source Code" selling point.  The other is the story.  We may say "Source Code" as a new idea of a movie.  Its about time re-assignment.  And what is all about? As Dr. Rutledge (Jeffrey Wright) said in the movie, "This is not time travel. This is time re-assignment. You cannot alter this reality while inside the source code." So, thumb up for the idea!

Then, what is the use of source code?  That end up as mistery... The mistery which attract me as the viewer, from the beginning of the movie. And it never lose the thrill till the end.  Another thumb up for the director, Duncan Jones.

The mistery start when Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) woke up in a train and realized that he's actually Sean Fentress (Frederick De Grandpre), while talking to an unrecognized woman, named Christina Warren (Michelle Monaghan).  What happen?

Colter Stevens melihat situasi yang ada di kereta tersebut, berusaha mengingat apa yang terjadi dan mengenali keadaan.  Tiba-tiba, kereta meledak dengan dahsyat.  Colter tersadar dalam ruangan semacam tabung yang tertutup.  Dalam tabung itu, menyala sebuah monitor yang menyambungkannya pada Colleen Goodwin (Vera Farmiga).

Colter pun mencari tahu apa yang sesungguhnya dia alami.  Colleen memberitahunya bahwa kereta yang ditumpangi Sean Fentress dibom oleh pelaku yang tidak diketahui siapa.  Dan si pelaku mengancam akan melakukan aksi berikutnya yang akan membunuh ratusan, ribuan, bahkan jutaan warga yang tidak bersalah.  Oleh karena itu, Colter memegang tugas berat.  Dengan teknologi source code, dia memiliki waktu selama 8 menit dalam tubuh orang lain, untuk mencari tahu siapa pelakunya....

Film ini seperti versi lain "Quantum Leap", serial TV yang terkenal di tahun 1989-1993.  Bahkan pemeran Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) menjadi cameo dalam film ini, sebagai Donald Stevens, ayah dari Colter.  Meski hanya suaranya saja yang diperdengarkan melalui telefon, saat adegan Colter menelefon sang ayah.

Well, I think this movie is a must to see... ---
